EDIT: Improved slightly without Enhancer plugin. It makes flames look dull/muted/unrealistic. I like the warm overall color it gives, but I don't like how ELFX desaturates and darkens fire in interiors (particularly noticeable on torches). Here's a similar (albeit more modded) shot from my former Classic setup to see what I mean - the difference in appearance is night-and-day from SSE's ELE+RS combo. Perhaps it would look a lot better with a suitable ENB, but without one it's pretty lackluster to me. I don't know what's up with ELE+RS, but it's gone from my favorite in Classic (combined with Vivid Weathers ENB - Natural Bright Version), to my least favorite here. I'm liking RLO's look a LOT more than I ever remember liking it for Classic. They are all taken at roughly 11:00-11:30AM on a clear day. These are all purely vanilla minus USSEP and the lighting mod being looked at. As I wont be using an ENB for my play-through, I wanted to go through them and figure out which one I liked best with vanilla - I figured others may appreciate these comparisons.Įnhanced Lights and FX (ELFX - With & Without Enhancer Plugin)Įnhanced Lights for ENB + Relighting Skyrim (ELE+RS) When I was looking into the main lighting mods, I noticed that there seems to be very little in the way of basic non-ENB comparisons of for them in SSE. It will be my first SSE playthrough and I've been trying to pick out/decide on certain mods.

So recently I've been prepping for a new playthrough of Skyrim.
